Movies that we have watched...and what we have to say (helps us to refresh our recollection from time to time)

X-MEN III (eng) many interesting characters which forms part of my interest in these sort of comics-inspired movies.

EIGHT BELOW (eng) courageous and inspiring huskies...the scenes brought back some nostalgia of our dog sledging moments in Kiruna.

I, ROBOT (eng) Nothing surprising but definitely not a cheap production. Mel likes this kinda futuristic movie.

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES SEASON 1 (mel) my favourite series so far. I admire Susan's adorable character, Gabrielle's fashion sense, Bree's elegance and Lynette's supermum style. Bree was my initial inspirational icon but I feel that perfectness is just too stressful...it's more relaxing to be easy-going and flexible. Lynette is not that perfect but guess she is more inspiring to me at this moment.

THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA (eng) this is definitely not a kiddie movie unlike Harry Porter because it involves war and death elements. Nevertheless, it has picturesque sceneries and creative plot.

THE ISLAND (eng) Sounds like a horror movie but fortunately this action based is creative and interesting. Spurred our minds to wonder if human cloning is actually being carried out in some labs w/o the clients' knowledge eg. the stem cell technology.

LEGEND OF ZORRO 1 & 2 (eng) typical heroic movie and quite like Wild Wild West.

THE CONSTANT GARDENER (mel) Starring Rachel Weisz. Is it true that there are so much conspiracy in Africa? It has a good plot but very disheartening.

19 March 2006 19:59, KING KONG 2005 (eng) i prefer the older version as it is more sentimental. This version is fast pace, total madness and sometimes i am not sure how they get from 1 place to another in just a sec. Anyway it wasn't the beauty that killed the beast, it was the consequences of those who decided to bring the Kong to civilization.

BRIDE & PREJUDICE VS PRIDE & PREJUDICE (mel) I watched BRIDE & PREJUDICE during a flight and found it hilarious and entertaining (just for the sake of laughing). Enjoyed the hollywood and bollywood partnership. The story line is not very much adapted from PRIDE & PREJUDICE but since we watched the Keira Knightley hit much later, found it a bit dry, too much lovey-dovey and didn't complete the movie emoticon

ELEKTRA (eng) Good actions, innovative fighting scenes but story line was a little monotonous. But Mel likes her tonned body ;)

PHANTOM OF THE OPERA (mel) love the songs as usual and I don't think it's any worse than the stage performance coz I gather that others commented the movie is lousier. Of course, the life performance gives you a different experience.

FOREVER YOUNG (mel) old one starring Mel Gibson and Elijah Wood. Elijah was so young then and we could recognize him instantly for his big distinctive eyes. Mel was accidentally frozen for 50 years, woke up in modernization and later met his sweetheart from his childhood days. I always like Mel Gibson, so find this pretty enjoyable.

SHAOLIN SOCCER (eng) all time favourite!!!! but mel doesn't understand why.....

THE HUNTED (eng) Starring Tommy Lee. Very violent, fast and exciting.

A BEAUTIFUL MIND (mel) indeed! how powerful, torturing and complicated a mind can become when succumb to schizophrenia. Movie is quite depressing.

BASIC INSTINCT 2 (eng) not good.

TRAPPED (mel) starring Dakota Fanning. Love this child actress. Her talent is astounding and especially recognised in this action film of kidnapping and ransom.

I AM SAM (mel) another hit starring Dakota Fanning and Sean Penn. The father and daughter relationship is remarkably touching.

UNSTOPABLE (mel) average rating action pack.

UNLEASHED (mel) starring Jet Li. Too violent.
