Winter Meal
As the day gets colder, we are preparing ourselves to consume more warm food. Eng learned and prepared this Dutch dish for our lunch today - Kale with Mashed Potatoes and Sausages. I love the taste of kale, it somehow smells a bit like presevered salted vege (ham choy/kiam chai). Some says the kale is the Chinese vege “kai lan” but it’s not quite right. They don’t taste the same at all or probably there are just from the same group but different species. Today is also the day we adjust our clock an hour earlier due to the end of daylight saving. So it’s now 8 hours time difference with Malaysia.
