Counting the days to Soccer Fever

Filed under: Other News - Administrator @ 6:22 pm

The Beckhams hosted a world cup party at their mansion here last weekend. Approximately 500 VIPs namely Rooney, Osbourne, Robbie Williams, Baby Spice and Puff Daddy (who flew in on a private jet) attended the high profile event and dined on scrumptious cuisine from Gordon Ramsay’s selections. Some auctions were going on and Beckham offered his watch, which was a gift from his wife for £50,000. Eng then turned to me and said, ‘How nice if my wife gives me a £50,000 watch too’. Ya right! I’ve yet to open my mouth to demand for a Mulberry or CD tote which is so much “cheaper” haha

England and Hungary had a pre-world cup match in Old Trafford yesterday with a 3:1 victory. Poor Rooney couldn’t play and everyone is speculating on his appearance in the WC2006 although he will be flying off with the team to Germany next week. Owen had a thigh injury and is still recovering. Anyway, guess the new and youngest footballer Theo is gonna rock! Some 100,000 England fans, supporters and polices are expected to travel to Germany. However, the UK immigration has banned 3,000 hooligans/trouble makers from leaving the country by temporarily confiscating their passports and these devastated blokes will be required to report each time England plays. So siao! Btw, these days all the young Brits dream to be footballers’ wives, so the trophy wives syndrome has gone out of trend.

I’m gonna miss my kakis and the TSB (Telawi Street Bistro) football watch during the ON days. And our super big SAP system will be going ‘live’ on 1st July in Malaysia and I wonder how it’s gonna achieve the timeline gauging by the majority of workforce on this project are from Europe and will practically be in offline mode in June. Lesson learned – Never ever challenge the priority of WC – mel.
